Why to choose Minori's public beach

Make it Blue

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful places in the world, a jewel recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO in 1997 with great tourist attractions. Each of the small towns composing it, from Vietri sul Mare to the other end in Positano, offers a unique variety of landscapes, traditions and historical monuments that have inspired and attracted great artists in the past.

The common element in all these places, however, is the sea. Along the coast you can easily find some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, where it is possible to enjoy the sun and plunge into the clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Amongst these places, there is one that since a few years has stood out from all the others and has enhanced the concept of public resource to be protected and to be freely accessible to everyone. It is the public beach of the City of Minori, where the project "Make It Blue" is organized by ACARBIO in collaboration with the town of Minori and YAP ITALY since 2015.

WHAT IS "MAKE IT BLUE" AND WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE THE PUBLIC BEACH OF MINORI

Make it Blue is an environmental project about the preservation and enhancement of maritime resources which aims to keep the public beach always clean, accessible to everybody, a place to do environmental education thanks to the help provided by young international volunteers who devote their time to citizens and tourists.

Every day the volunteers take care of the beach, cleaning it, going around with a special pedal boat to sweep the sea and keep the water clean, but they also organize (from Tuesday to Sunday) multilingual environmental workshops for children and teenagers. Come and visit our tent on the beach from 10 to 12 and spend time with young people from around the world on games, drawings and stories about the world of the biodiversity of this area.

The public beach of Minori, in addition to being clean all the time, is also equipped with showers and umbrella stands, completely free of charge.

Minori is also the City of Food, thanks to its ancient tradition of local products such as pasta, cakes, and liqueurs. You cannot leave Minori without having eaten a plate of ‘scialatielli’ or ‘ndunderi’, accompanied by local seafood, then a dessert made by famous pastry chef Sal De Riso, and a glass of limoncello with PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) lemons from Amalfi Coast.
